Some Tips for DIY

I am the first to admit that I am not the best at DIY. I may make a few errors when it comes to certain areas and I am not always the most practical when it comes to knocking nails in, but I do make a great DIY helper's mate, so I try to do my share around the home by holding things in place and scraping and sanding.

As such I can look objectively at the work of someone carrying out DIY and see some of the errors that they make in certain areas. One area that I can really notice a difference in is tidiness. I have worked with people who meticulously clean up after every small operation and put every nut and bolt away.

I have, however, worked with others who leave the DIY area looking like a bomb has hit it and you practically have to call the home cleaning services firm to put things right. You cannot work efficiently in a work place where everything is in disarray; it just does not work.

The other thing I have noticed is some people who do DIY are naturally calm, whereas others break into a foul temper at the first thing that goes wrong and who also usually take it out on the closest person to them.

It is easier said than done but keeping calm does wonders in the world of DIY as you just cannot concentrate if you're boiling over!
